GLAZED ALUMINUM CURTAIN WALLS <br />08 44 13 <br />section, to include representatives from the manufacturer and installer, at <br />least two weeks prior to commencement of such work. The Contractor <br />shall advise the Architect and the Owner's Representative at least three <br />working days prior to the date of the meeting. The purpose of the meeting <br />is to ensure the following: <br />1. Clear understanding of drawings, specifications and approved <br />submittal data <br />2. Onsite inspection and acceptance of existing conditions <br />3. Means and methods of installation <br />4. Coordination with the work of other trades <br />5. Schedule, delivery, storage and protection of all materials relating <br />to the work of this section. <br />6. The contractor shall take and distribute minutes of the meeting to <br />those in attendance within five working days thereafter. <br />1.04 MOCK-UP <br />A. See Section 01 45 00 - Contractor Quality Control for general requirements <br />for mock-ups. <br />B. Mock-up shall include framing finish for both colors, separately, for <br />approval. Refer to Article 2.05 for finish information. <br />1.05 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Handle products of this section in accordance with AAMA CW-10. <br />B. Protect finished aluminum surfaces with wrapping. Do not use adhesive <br />papers or sprayed coatings that bond to aluminum when exposed to <br />sunlight or weather. <br />1.06 FIELD CONDITIONS <br />A. Do not install sealants when ambient temperature is less than 40 degrees <br />F. Maintain this minimum temperature during and 48 hours after <br />installation. <br />1.07 WARRANTY <br />A. See Section 01 78 36 - Warranties, Guarantees and Bonds for additional <br />warranty requirements. <br />B. Correct defective Work within a five year period after Date of Substantial <br />Completion. <br />C. Provide five year manufacturer warranty against failure of glass seal on <br />insulating glass units, including interpane dusting or misting. Include <br />provision for replacement of failed units. <br />D.
