by Honeywell <br />Description <br />The Gamewell-FCI Velociti• Series, addressable <br />monitor module AMM-21F is a single Style B, Class B <br />initiating device circuit (IDC) with a 47KW end -of -line <br />resistor. This module provides an address for any <br />device or group of devices connected to this circuit <br />on the signaling line circuit (SLC) of the Gamewell- <br />FCI addressable series fire alarm control panel. Any <br />initiating device with normally open (N.O.) dry con- <br />tacts may be made addressable when connected to <br />the AMM-21F module. <br />The Velociti• Series use a communication protocol <br />that substantially increases the speed of communi- <br />cation between the sensors and certain Gamewell- <br />FCI analog addressable fire alarm controls. These <br />devices operate in a grouped fashion. If one of the <br />devices in the group has a status change, the <br />panel's microprocessor stops the group poll and <br />concentrates on the single device. The net effect is <br />response speed up to five times greater than earlier <br />designs. <br />The AMM-21F module can be programmed to provide <br />a wide variety of input functions to the Gamewell-FCI <br />addressable series fire alarm control panels. It can <br />be identified as a manual station, heat detector, ple- <br />num detector, waterflow switch, tamper switch, N.O. <br />contact, smoke detector, projected beam smoke <br />detector, sub loop, remote zone, etc. It can also <br />serve as a remote system silence, system reset, <br />system acknowledge or drill switch. It is even possi- <br />ble to customize its device type to meet specific job <br />requirements. <br />The initiating device circuit of the AMM-21F can sup- <br />port a maximum line resistance of up to 40 ohms <br />allowing the use of linear heat detection devices.
