HOOD AND PLENUM NOZZLE <br /> <br />Model NL-P (Tip #722) - The Pyro Own pIenum'nozzIes have <br />been developed to protect the plenum sedian of 1he hood. The , <br />, Model PCL-1651275/550 systemS.-1he Nl-P nozzle far1his <br />app6cation. This nozzle has been Ust8d and Approved to pr0- <br />tect plenums with rectangular dimensions of 6 x 4 feet or less.. <br />, Larger plenums can be protected but the hazard .... must <br />be divided so that each nozzle plOUICtS an area of 6 x ~ feet <br />or less. Examples of plenum nozzle placement are shown in <br />Rgure 2-3. <br /> <br />In addition to size limitations. nozzles must be located at 1he <br />top center of the plenum, within 4 inches of the tap of the hood- <br />They must always be aimed in the dowward direction, tDW8rd <br />the filter banks. (See Rgure 2-4). <br /> <br />Model NL.A (Tip #723) - The Model NL-A has been adapted <br />to protect the plenum section of the hood. This nozzle has been <br />Listed and Approved to protect pienums with rectangular <br />dimensions of 8 x 4 feet or less. Larger plenums can be pr0- <br />tected but the hazard areas must be divided so that each noz- <br />zle protects an areas of 8 x4 feet or less.
