<br /> <br />>B NAME: ZEPHYRHILLS SENIOR CENTER <br />" OB LOCATION: 4645 AIRPORT ROAD, ZEPHYRHILLS PAGE TWO <br />.~ '" <br />J <br />ITEM #2: <br />This item includes design and installation of A/C system to kitchen and rest <br />rooms, after changes to ceiling and partitions. <br /> <br />A Trane package A/C system including curb, associated heat strips, fresh air <br />intake, fire/smoke detector, thermostat, and duct system including supply and <br />return air diffusers, will be provided and installed in place by A/C <br />contractor. Installation of roof curb will be coordinated with roof contractor <br />to assure no water damage due to rain. A/C contractor will provide, for local <br />permitting, drawings of this complete installation stamped as approved by <br />registered PE. In addition, this contractor will provide load calculations, <br />based on 4th edition of the Manual N, along with duct system design and type to <br />comply with Florida energy code. All work will be done in a workmanlike manner <br />and coordinated with other trades to assure neat and functional installation in <br />a timely manner. Fire and smoke detector will be installed in place and <br />connected to shut down system in event of fire. Detector will be connected to <br />fire alarm system by certified installer. Electrical work other than <br />lo-voltage control will be done by others. Any expenses normally associated <br />with inspections will be paid by A/C contractor. <br /> <br />ITEM #3: <br />Basic lightning protection consisting of strike diversion from people and <br />buildings to air terminals, down conductors and ground system along with <br />service and roof top equipment transient surge protection is prudent practice <br />for this area of Florida. <br /> <br />A lightning protection system consisting of air terminals, conductors, bonds <br />and ground system, and basic transient protection for category "A" and "B" <br />shall be designed and installed by a LPI certified designer/inspector. Ground <br />system shall be certified to be 5 ohm or less using acceptable Biddle test <br />equipment. A report will be provided to owner on completion. Transient <br />protectors will be provided and installed under Electrical Contractor scope of <br />work in accordance with these specifications. <br /> <br />ITEM #4: <br />Electrical Contractor will provide branch circuit and associated equipment to <br />connect new A/C system. Electrical branch circuits will be disconnected from <br />old A/C units and then re-connected to new A/C units. A certified Fire Alarm <br />technician will provide conduit and conductors from smoke detectors on all A/C <br />units and make connection to fire alarm control panel. Lights and convenience <br />outlets in area where partitions will be moved will be provided in accordance <br />with accepted code/standards for lighting and receptacles. <br />Transient surge arrestors will be provided and installed on selected circuits <br />and panels in accordance with Lightning Protection Specifications. Any device <br />that requires transient protection will require a copper ground conductor be <br />installed to panel or sub-panel that branch circuit originates. Electrical <br />Contractor will verify existence of these conductors. Any expenses normally <br />required for inspections will be paid by Electrical Contractor. <br />
