<br />DESIGN CRITERIA <br /> <br />1. The reconstructed area is designed in accordance with the 1991 <br />edition of the Standard Building Code. <br /> <br />2. Bracing & Shoring: The structural integrity of the completed <br />structure depends upon the interaction of various connected <br />components. Provide adequate bracing, shoring, and other <br />temporary supports as required to safely complete the work. <br /> <br />3. Concrete Design Method and Strength: U. S. D., f' c=3 000 psi @ 28 <br />days. <br /> <br />4. Masonry Strength: f'm=1500 psi. The contractor is responsible <br />for maintaining the specified prism strength. <br /> <br />5. The contractor is to field verify all dimensions, elevations; <br />and layouts prior to construction. The contractor is to <br />document any discrepancies or problems in writing to the <br />engineer prior to construction. <br /> <br />CONCRETE <br /> <br />1. STANDARDS: <br /> <br />All concrete work shall comply with the latest edition of the <br />following: <br /> <br />a. ACI 318, IIBuildinq Code Requirements for Reinforced <br />Concrete II , latest edition. <br />b. CRSI, IIPlacinq Reinforcinq Barsll, latest edition. <br />c. The local governing building code if more-stringent that <br />the above. <br /> <br />2. MATERIALS: <br /> <br />a. Water: Clean ahd Potable. <br />b. Cement: ASTM C150, Type 1 <br />c. Aggregate: ASTM C 33 <br />d. Air Entraining Admixture: ASTM C 260 <br />e. Water Reducing Admixture: ASTM C 494, Type A <br />f. Calcium Chloride: Not permitted. <br />g. Steel Reinforcing: fy=60,000 psi, ASTM A 615 <br />h. Moisture Barrier: 6 mil, ASTM E 154 <br />i. Cure and Seal: Clear styrene butadiene, Fed. Spec. TT-C- <br />800A. <br />j. Welded Wire Mesh: ASTM A 185 <br />k. Non Shrink Non Metallic Grout: CRD-C588 factory premixed <br />1. Bonding Compound: Polyvinyl acetate, rewettable type <br /> <br />3.
