Glazing: Glass shall be set with glazing gaskets consisting of elastomeric <br />material and shall be of a type that locks securely into the,glazing reg let <br />to prevent glazing gaskets from disengaging. Vinyl glazing gaskets are <br />not acceptable. <br /> <br />2.08 Mixes <br /> <br />2.09 Fabrication <br /> <br />A. Fabricate components with minimum clearances and shim spacing around <br />perimeter of assembly, yet enabling installation and dynamic movement <br />of perimeter seal. <br /> <br />B. Accurately fit and secure joints and corners. Make joints flush, hairline, <br />[and weatherproof]. <br /> <br />C, Prepare components to receive anchor devices. Fabricate anchors. <br /> <br />D. Arrange fasteners and attachments to conceal from view. <br /> <br />2.10 Finishes <br /> <br />1 . Aluminum profiles shall be given a caustic etch followed by an anodic <br />oxide treatment to obtain (specify one of the following). <br />a. An Architectural Class I color anodic coating conforming with AA- <br />M12C22A42/42 Permanodic color #40 Dark Bronze (or select #26 <br />Light Bronze, #28 Medium Bronze, #29 Black as options). <br />b. An Architectural Class II clear anodic coating conforming with AA- <br />M12C22A31. #17 Clear. <br /> <br />2. A fluoropolymer paint coating conforming with the requirements of <br />AAMA 605.2-92. Compliance: Comply with manufacturer's product data, including product <br />technical bulletins, product catalog installation instructions, and product <br />carton instructions. <br /> <br />3.02 Examination <br /> <br />A. Site Verification of Conditions: Verify substrate conditions (which have <br />been previously installed under other sections) are acceptable for prod- <br />uct installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br /> <br />3.03 Preparation <br /> <br />A. Adjacent Surfaces Protection: Protect adjacent work areas and finish sur- <br />faces from damage during product installation. <br />B.
