ASSEMBL Y <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />Paint Spray Sooths are used to confine iUld remove overspray and fumes from the area in which spray <br />painting is performed. They are available in miUlY different sizes (width. depth and height) and ;n may <br />diffi:~t types (depending upon the amount and kind of material to be sprayed and the method of <br />application). <br /> <br />01"1 Type Spray Booths with Arrestor Exhaust are designed for use during intermittent or limited <br />production spray in locations where exhausted air must be clean. They operate by drawing contaminated <br />air through replaceable filters (arrestor pads) which prevent overspray residue escaping to the atmosphere. <br />All booths with arreSTor exhausts are supplied with a draft gauge. <br /> <br />AU paint spray booths are of self supporting 18 gauge sheet steel sectional panels. They arc furnished with <br />all necessary ass~mbly !1ardware and instructions. All booths are of fireproof construction and an: built to <br />meet the requirem::nts of the National Board of Fire Underwriters as well as most of the local and state fire <br />and health regulations. It is the responsibility of user to install this equipment in accordance with current <br />local regulations. <br /> <br />PRECAUTIONS <br /> <br />The follOWing preC<lutions should always be observed during operation of paint spray bOOThs: <br /> <br />1. On dry type paint booths with arrestor exhaust. <br /> <br />^. Do :tot U3C thU type of booth when applying a spray material known to be highly <br />susceptible to spontaneous heating and ignition. <br /> <br />B. Do not we arre~or paw altcll1Ately for different types ofcoaring materials where the <br />combination of materials may be conciuctive to spontaneous combustion. <br /> <br />C. Do nor pennir fluid to collect in the flexible PWtic connecting loop in the back of the <br />draft gauge as this could cause ll. serious reading error. [fthe draft gauge is subjected <br />to an over-pressure. check to ensure that fluid has not passed into the loop. <br /> <br />2. On all paint spray booths: <br /> <br />A. Do not carry on spray operations near operations emitting sparks or other hazardous <br />operations.t <br />B. \\'he:J spraying metal bearing protective coatings. a nOTiceable proportion of very <br />rme, lightweight flakes of meta,l will be carried with the: air through the booth iUld <br />ventilation system to the outside of the building. <br />
