First Reading Ordinance #941-05 - Special Basin <br /> <br />Previously addressed. <br /> <br />9. First Reading Ordinance #943-05 - Special Event Permit <br /> <br />Ordinance #943-05 was read by title. A draft special event application was also provided <br />for future evaluation. The limits of liability regarding the use/serving/sale of alcohol will be <br />changed from two million to one million per the City's insurance carrier. Sharry Boldt advised <br />the City of Zephyrhills will be named as additional insured on an insurance certificate provided <br />to the City. The following persons spoke from the floor voicing their concerns how the <br />ordinance will affect their organization: Representing Mainstreet - Terry Linville, 5215 <br />Bernadette Drive; Sheri Schwab, 5301 Bernadette Drive; Representing the Chamber of <br />Commerce - Donna French, 35811 Brisa Drive. <br />Clyde Braclrnell moved Ordinance #943-05 be passed on the first reading with the noted <br />changes. Seconded by Gina King. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />10. First Reading Ordinance #944-05 - Street Naming Policy - Code Amendment <br /> <br />Ordinance #944-05 was read by title. Clyde Bracknell moved Ordinance #944-05 be <br />passed on the first reading. Seconded by Daniel Burgess. Councilman Braclrnell said he would <br />like to see the size of signs be uniform as well as the wording and it was suggested the <br />memorial/honorarium signs would be a different color. Councilwoman Geiger questioned page <br />1, section B2 suggesting "and" be changed to "or". Councilman Braclrnell amended his motion <br />to include the suggested change. Councilman Burgess amended the second. Vote was taken on <br />the amendment and passed 4-1 with Councilwoman King voting against the amendment. <br />Vote was taken on passage of the ordinance as amended and passed 3-2 with <br />Councilwomen Geiger and King voting against the motion. <br /> <br />11. First Reading Ordinance #945-05 - Street Naming Policy - LDC Amendment <br /> <br />Ordinance #945-05 was read by title. Daniel Burgess moved Ordinance #945-05 be <br />passed on the first reading. Seconded by Clyde Braclrnell. Motion passed 3-2 with <br />Councilwomen Geiger and King voting against the motion. <br /> <br />LETTERS <br /> <br />12. Jeff Davis - Proposal for Use of Tennis Courts at Zephyr Park <br /> <br />Jeff Davis, 12512 1st Street W., Treasure Island, representing the United States Tennis <br />Association provided aproposal to use the tennis courts at Zephyr Park for a USTA Junior Team <br />Tennis "Rallyball" Format for students ages 6-14. <br />Clyde Braclrnell moved the request be approved. Seconded by Elizabeth Geiger. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 9: 17 p.m. <br />
