A 7). This <br />backing s port should be: <br />. A no water-degradable, thin (max. liS" thick) sheet material such as aluminum or <br />galva ized flashing, hard plastic sheeting, tile board, Energy Brace@, or other thin <br />sheet aterial <br />. 8uffi ient width to span from the rough opening to the nearest stud that is not a part <br />of the rough opening <br /> <br />Backing ~' pport may be attached by any method (staples, tacks, construction adhesive, <br />etc.) and ust completely surround the rough opening as shown.
