The corners <br /> were straight cut and vinyl keyed. The fiberglass mesh screen was secured with a <br /> wraparound vinyl spline. <br /> Installation: The windows were installed into a #2 Southern Yellow Pine wood buck. The <br /> windows were secured with #8 x 2" pan head screws through the jambs 12" from head and <br /> sill. Test Specimens #1, #3, #4 and #5 utilized one additional #8 x 2" pan head screw at <br /> midspan. No screws in the head or sill. All windows also utilized 3/4" x 3/4" interior and <br /> exterior wood blind stops secured with #6 x 2" pan head screws located 3" from corners and <br /> 16" on center. Silicone was utilized around the exterior perimeter. <br />
