Tire kingdom is classified as Special Purpose Industrial as defined by NFPA 101. It shall be considered a minor repair garage and shall also comply with the applicable sections of NFPA 30A. will allow this project to move forward. Payment for permit contractor acknowledges agreeing with items below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Fire Marshal's office. 1. Fire safety practices shall be followed during construction in accordance to NFPA 1. 2. 20' wide roadway shall be provided around the construction site during construction to support the weight of a fire apparatus. This roadway shall be maintained. 3. Separate plans required by sprinkler contractor to obtain permit. Plans shall consist of all details, specs, calcs of sprinkler system. Details of in -rack piping (as stated on plans) shall also be supplied. If storage or displays are going to be placed under canopy — sprinklers shall be located under canopy. 4. Separate plans shall be submitted by fire alarm contractor to obtain permit. Plans shall consist of all details, specs and battery calcs of alarm system. Be advised that additional alarm notification devices will be required in addition to what is required by the monitoring of the sprinkler system. Alarm contractor may contact Fire Marshal prior to submitting plans. 5. Permit (by Fire Department) required for any roofing operation that is a tar kettle or torch operation job and shall be compliant to NFPA 1. 6. Page C -9: Detail of FDC should be 5" Storz (30 — 45 degree) Plans do show 5" Storz 7. Knox box shall be located outside main door at a height of 6'. 8. Certified fire extinguishers shall be provided throughout in accordance to NFPA 10. 9. Panic hardware shall be installed on all secondary exits.
