Please note that this review does not eliminate any further requirements as the project continues moving forward. By receiving permit, contractor acknowledges to comply with the items listed below. Should anyone have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Fire Marshal's office. 1. Fireworks display shall be in accordance to NFPA 1123 and the remaining items listed are the main points from the standard. 2. Operator shall be at least 21 years of age. 3. Assistants shall be at least 18 years of age and properly trained. They are under the direction of the operator. 4. Proper PPE's shall be worn for the event. Long pants, long shirts, eye, ear and head protection. 5. Event coordinator or fireworks company shall be responsible to section off around display area and monitor access to only allow those involved with the fireworks display (set up, operation, inspection). 6. Sidewalks shall be blocked off as indicated on site plan by either event coordinator or fireworks company. 7. All fireworks shall have proper labeling. 8. Prep area shall be secured from public by minimum of 100 feet. 9. Fireworks company shall inspect all shells following delivery to site to check for damage. 10. There shall be no smoking within 50 feet of any fireworks. 11. All portions of the electronic ignition devices shall be inspected by the operator. 12. The electronic ignition devices shall be located at least 75 feet from the fireworks display. 13. Tents shall not be located in display area. 14. Mortars shall be positioned and spaced so shells are propelled over the fallout area and to afford protection for the shooter /operator. 15. Mortars and/or racks shall be secured so that they do not reposition during discharge.
