103 REFERENCES <br /> A. All work shail be installed in accordance with all applicable codes and referenced design <br /> standards as indicated on the engineering drawings. Including but not limited to the <br /> following <br /> 1. 2010 Florida Building Code <br /> 2. 2010 Florida Fire Prevention Code <br /> 3 2010 Florida Mechanical Code <br /> 4. 2011 National Electrical Code <br /> 5. 2007 Edition of NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code <br /> 6 2009 Edition of NFPA Life Safety Code <br /> B. If there is a conflict between the applicable codes, referenced design standards, or local <br /> amendments and the engineering drawings or this specification, it is the Contractor's <br /> responsibility to immediately bring the conflict to the Engineer for resolution <br /> 1.04 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> A. The fire alarm system shall be UL Certificated in accordance with NFPA 72 <br /> B The system shall operate as a low voltage power limited fire alarm system and shall be a <br /> complete supervised fire alarm system as hereinafter specified. Initiating device circuits, <br /> supervisory circuits, notification appliance circuits, signaling line circuits, and auxiliary <br /> circuits shall meet the minimum Class and Style of all applicable codes and design <br /> standards as shown on the engineering drawings. Circuits for relay coil operation shall be <br /> 24 volt maximum with a separate or integral field collapsing diode <br /> C. The control panels and auxiliary power supplies shall receive their power from 120 volt AC <br /> dedicated branch circuits. The circuit disconnecting means shall be red in color, labeled <br /> as "FIRE ALARM CIRCUIT", and have a lockable tab. The 12 and 24 volt DC power for <br /> all system initiation, supervisory, notification and control circuits shall be provided by the <br /> control panel power supplies or listed auxiliary power supplies <br /> D. Upon loss of building power, the entire system shall transfer to secondary power within <br /> ten (10) seconds, and without loss of signals. The system shall operate under secondary <br /> power in normal or trouble conditions as indicated on the engineering drawings. <br /> E. Upon loss of primary power to the control panels, or activation of the fire alarm system, all <br /> locked exit doors shall automatically be unlocked. <br /> F. System Operation shall be as follows <br /> 1 Abnormal circuit conditions or devices, as required for the Class and Style of the <br /> circuit, shall initiate a "trouble"condition at the control panel and remote <br /> annunciator for that specific circuit or device. The"trouble" indication shall <br /> describe the nature of the condition on the affected circuit or device The DACT <br /> shall transmit point specific"trouble"conditions to an approved UL central station <br /> as indicated on engineering drawings. <br /> Hobby Lobby—Zephyrhills, FL FIRE ALARM SYSTEM <br /> Issued for Permit—October 23, 2013 16720 -2 <br />
