_ G. Exterior Audible/Visual Notification Appliances-Wall Mounted <br /> 1. Provide solid state electronic audible notification appliances with integral visual <br /> notification appliance operable at 120 volt AC. The appliances shall utilize a high <br /> intensity solid state xenon strobe tube with associated lens/reflector system The <br /> appliances shall be constructed of high-impact red thermoplastic, shall indicate <br /> "FIRE", and shall be UL listed for wall mounted applications <br /> 2. Where possible, provide flush mounting of appliances Where surface mounting <br /> is necessary or as indicated on the engineering drawings, provide a decorative <br /> backbox skirt covering the appliance backbox. <br /> 3 Provide appliances UL listed for outdoor(weatherproof)application <br /> 4 Provide mounting on backboxes UL listed for outdoor(weatherproof) application <br /> and for use with the appliances. <br /> 5. Remote Annunciators <br /> 1 Provide a remote annunciator with a minimum sixteen (16)character vacuum <br /> fluorescent display. <br /> 2. Initiation, notification and auxiliary device circuit conductors shall be type FPL, FPLP, or <br /> FPLR, as indicated on the engineering drawings. Where the size or type of conductor hereinafter specified conflicts with the <br /> FAEM's requirements, the larger size or more specialized conductor type will be used. <br /> B Conductors for any non-power limited fire alarm circuits shall be type NPLF, NPLFP, <br /> NPLFR or THHN [installed in conduit) <br /> C Conductors for wet locations shall be as follows: <br /> 1 Types RHW, TW, THW, THHW, THWN, XHHW or other type listed for use in wet <br /> locations <br /> 2 Type listed for direct burial <br /> D All electrical characteristics (conductor-to-conductor capacitance, DC resistance, etc.)of <br /> the fire alarm conductors shall meet the requirements of the selected FAEM for the <br /> intended application. <br /> E.
