ARTICLE 7. -GEIVERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTRACTOR: <br /> 7.1 The Contractor shal! be licensed and supervise and direct the work using his best skiBs <br /> and attention. <br /> 7.2 The Contractar shall provide the Owner and Communi#y Development Division with <br /> evidence that he/she has secured and paid for a(I lic�nses and pe�mits necessary fo�the <br /> proper execution of the work; and, upon completion of the job, shall provide evidence <br /> that all work has been inspected and approved by the appropriate buiiding inspectors. <br /> 7.3 The Contractor shall not employ on the work any unfit person or anyone not skilled or <br /> licensed, if appropriate, in the task assigned to him. <br /> 7.4 The Contractor shal( be responsible for the acts and omissions of all his employees, and <br /> a!1 subcontractors, their agent and employees, and all other persons performing any of <br /> the work. <br /> 7.5 The cantractor shal{ seek approval from Community Development Division prior to <br /> substituting any materiais or products deemed "EquaP' to the specific materials or <br /> products listed in the most recent Bid Spec�cations or Work Write-Up. <br /> 7.6 The Contractor sha11 not assign this contra�t without written consent of the Owner and <br /> the Community Development Division. Any request for assignment must be addressed <br /> to the Community Development Division. <br /> 7.7 The Contractor at al! times shal( keep the premises free ftom accumulation af waste <br /> materials or rubbish caused by this work. <br /> 7.8 The Contractor shali permit the Community Development Division to examine and <br /> inspec#the construction worfc under this contract at any reasonable time. <br /> 7.9 The Contractor shaA fumish the Owner and the Community Development Division with <br /> the narnes, addresses, and telephone numbers of the firms to be contacted for service to <br /> fhe various app(iances or other equipment that was installed or repaired under this <br /> contract. <br /> 7.10 The Contracior shall indemnify and save harmless the Ceunty, its agents and <br /> employees, and the Owner ftom fiability for any injury or damages to persons or praperty <br /> resulting from the Contractor's prosecution of work pursuant to the provisions of this <br /> contract. <br /> 7.91 The contractor shall be responsible to submit all requests for payments, change orders, <br /> release of liens, subcontractor iist, etc., on the most current forms obtained from the <br /> Community Development Division website for contractors. <br /> 7.12 All products and materiais used in the rehabilitation of Community Development Division <br /> projects shall be made by American manufacturers, if available, and meet the latest <br /> energy and water conservation requirements. <br /> S/Community Develapment/Housing Forms Revlsed 04/27lf t <br /> -3 - <br />
