ARTICLE 7. -GENERAL RESPONSIBILITlES OF THE CONTRACTOR: <br /> 7.1 The Con#ractor shall be licensed and supervise and direct the work using his best skills <br /> and attention. <br /> 7.2 The Contractor shall provide the Owner and Comrnunity Development Division with <br /> evidence that helshe has secured and paid for,all licenses and permits necessary for the <br /> proper execution of the work; and, upon completion of the job, shall provide evidence <br /> that all work has been inspected and approved by the appropriate building inspectors. <br /> 7.3 The Contractor shall not employ on the work any unfit person or anyone not skilled or * <br /> licensed, if appropriate, in the#ask assigned to him. <br /> 7.4 The Contractor shall be responsible for the acts and omissions of all his employees, and <br /> all subcontractors, their agent and employees, and alf other persons performing any of <br /> the work. <br /> 7.5 The contractor shall seek approval from Community Development Division prior to <br /> substituting any materials or products deemed "Equar' to the specific materials or <br /> products lisfed in the most recent Bid Specifications or Work Write-Up. <br /> 7.6 The Contractor shall not assign this contract without written consent of the Owner and <br /> the Community Development Division. Any request for assignment must be addressed <br /> to the Community Development Division. <br /> 7.7 The Contractor at all times shall keep the premises free from accumulation of waste <br /> materials or rubbish caused by this work. <br /> 7.8 The Con#ractor shaA permit the Community Development Division to examine and <br /> inspect the construction work under this contract at any reasonable time. <br /> 7.9 The Contractor shall fumish the Owner and the Community Developmen# Division with <br /> the names, add�esses, and telephone numbers of the firms to be contacted for service to <br /> the various appliances or other equipment that was installed or repaired under this <br /> contract. <br /> 7.10 The Contractor shall indemnify and save harm(ess the County, its agents and <br /> employees, and the Owner from liability for any injury or damages to persons or property <br /> resulting from the Contractor's prosecution of work pursuant to the provisions of this <br /> contract. <br /> 7.11 The contractor shall be responsible to submit all requests for payments, change orders, <br /> release of liens, subcontractor list, etc., on the most current forms obtained from the <br /> Community Developmen# Division website for contractors. <br /> 7.12 All products and materials used in the rehabilitation of Community Development Division <br /> projects shall be made by American manufacturers, if available, and meet the latest <br /> energy and water conservation requirements. <br /> S/Community Development/Housing Forms Revised 04/27/11 <br /> - 3- <br />
