AF�TtCLE 13. - TERMINATION 4F Ct3NTRACT BY THE OWNER: If the Cantractor defaults or neglects to carry out the work in accordance with the car�tract documents or faiEs to perfarm any,provisions of the contract, the Community Development Division or th� �wner acting through the Gammuni#y Devebpment Division may, after seven (7} days' written notice, term nate #his contract and finish the work by whatever method he cteems expedient. If the unpaid balance of#�e contract sum exceeds the expense of finishing the work, such excess shaii be paid ta the Gontrac#or; but if such expense exceeds such unpaid balance, the Cantractor shall pay the difference to the Owner or the G�ommunity Development Divisian. Failure to pay the unpaid balance wi!! result in disbarment from bidding on f�ture Community Development Divisian projects.
