PROVIDING THE PROCEDURES TO BE FOL- LOWED TO CONDEMN DANGEROUS PROPERTY; P° ct 3 PROVIDING FOR BOTH PERSONAL AND CON- STRUCTIVE NOTICE TO OWNER; PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF CONDEMNED PROPERTYAND LIEN FOR THE COST OF SUCH REMOVAL AND FORECLOSURE OF SAID LIEN. WHEREAS, that pursuant to Chapter 2 of the Charter of the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, Section 22.01 (30), the City Council is granted the power to condemn dangerous properties and to impose penalties on owner of same, when any building, sidewalk or other structure or place is determined dangerous or detrimental to the citizens of the City of Zephyrhills, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to set forth procedures to be followed in order to condemn such property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS, FLORIDA, as follows : SECTION 1 : That upon complaint made to the City Council, the City Council shall cause an investigation to be made concerning any building, sidewalk or other structure al- ledged to be dangerous or detrimental to the citizens or their property. SECTION 2:r. ' That if pursuant to investigation referred to in Section 1 above, said property is deemed to be dangerous or detrimental to :the citizens or their" property, the City shall. cause to be served upon the owner of said property a Notice to correct or remove said offending structure. That said Notice shall be served personally by the Chief of Police upon the owner of said lands if said owner shall be found within the boundaries of Pasco County, Florida. That if said owner does not reside within Pasco County, Florida, the City Manager shall cause said Notice to be sent by registered mail with return re- ceipt requested to the last known address of owner. That said personally served notice or registered mail notice shall give said owner a period of sixty (60) days within which to correct or remove said offending structure.
