The SIMPSON <br /> LSTA9 is to be secured employing 8 - 10d nails and provides a tension <br /> capability of 740 pounds. <br /> o C —This is a SIMPSON SSP stud plate tie, securing the 2"X4" cripple <br /> studs and the fiull length studs to the double top plate. The SIMPSON SSP <br /> connected to the double top plate is to be secured employing 7 -10d nails <br /> and provides uplift allowable capability of 435 pounds. <br /> o D - This is a SIMPSON SSP stud plate tie, securing the 2"X4"full length <br /> studs to the pressure treated bottom plate. The SIMPSON SSP connected <br /> to the bottom plate is to be secured employing 5 -10d nails and provides <br /> uplift allowable capability of 455 pounds. <br />, o E - This is a SIMPSON DSP stud plate tie, securing the two King Studs to <br /> the double top plate. The SIMPSON DSP connected to the double top <br /> plate is to be secured employing 14 -10d nails and provides uplift <br /> allowable capability of 825 pounds. , <br /> o F —This is a SIMPSON HTT4 tension tie securing the King and Jack ! <br /> Studs to the foundation. The SIMPSON HTT4 is to be secured to the <br /> I foundation employing a 5/8" anchor bolt and to the studs employing 18— � <br /> 16d nails which provide allowabte tension load capability of 4235 pounds. �, <br /> o G —This is a %2" diameter Anchor Bolt with a 2"washer. This is to be ! <br /> provided to secure the pressure treated bottom plate to the foundation for ', <br /> all bearing frame walls. The '/z� anchor bolt is to be instafled 6°from the I <br /> end of the wall and all openings and then 24" on center. � <br /> o H —This is a SIMPSON MTS12 twist strap with 14, 10d X 1%" nails <br /> securing the double top plate to the roof rafters or roof trusses, providing <br /> an uplift capability of 1000 pounds. <br /> • Double Top Plate—The damaged portions of the 2"X4" double top plate must be <br /> removed such that a minimum of 16" is available for the splice to insure adequate <br /> continuity for the "continuous" top plate system.
