The SIMPSON SSP <br /> connected to the double top plate is to be secured employing 7 -10d nails <br /> and provides uplift allowable capability of 435 pounds. <br /> o D - This is a SIMPSON SSP stud plate tie, securing#he 2"X6°full length <br /> studs to the pressure treated bottom plate. The SIMPSON HTT4 is to be secured to the <br /> foundation employing a 5/8" anchor bolt and to the studs employing 18— <br /> 16d nails which provide allowable tension load capability of 4235 pounds. <br /> o G —This is a %" diameter Anchor Bolt with a 2"washer. This is to be <br /> provided to secure the pressure treated bottom plate to the foundation for <br /> all bearing frame walls. The '/2" anchor bolt is to be installed 6"from the <br /> end of the wall and all openings and then 24" on center. <br /> o H —This is a SIMPSON MTS12 finrist strap with 14, 10d X 1'/" nails <br /> securing the double top plate to the roof rafters or roof trusses, providing <br /> an uplift capability of 1000 pounds. <br /> • Double Top Plate—The damaged portions of the 2"X6" double top plate must be <br /> removed such that a minimum of 16" is available for the splice to insure adequate <br /> continuity for the "continuous"top plate system.
