DONNELLY ENGINEERING ELECTRICAL ' <br /> Contractor, as indicated on the drawings, or as required by job conditions and as determined by the <br /> Engineer in the field, to facilitate the installation of the new systems. The Owner shall require <br /> continuous operation of the existing systems, while demolition, relocation work or new tie-ins are <br /> performed. <br /> B. Coordination: Prior to any deactivation and relocation or demolition work, arrange a conference with <br /> the Engineer and the Owner's representative in the field to inspect each of the items to be deactivated, <br /> removed or relocated. Care shall be taken to protect all equipment designated to be relocated and <br /> reused or to remain in operation and be integrated with the new systems. <br /> C. Provisions: All deactivation, relocation, and temporary tie-ins shall be provided by the Contractor. All <br /> demolition, removal and the legal disposal of demolished materials of system designated to be <br /> demolished shall be provided by the Contractor. <br /> D. Owners Salvage: The Owner reserves the right to inspect the material scheduled for removal and <br /> salvage any items they chose to be usable as spare parts or for other use. <br /> E. Phasing: The Contractor shall perform all work in phases as directed by the Engineer to suit the project <br /> progress schedule, as well as the completion date of the project. <br /> PART2- PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 Product Directives <br /> A. Specified Method: Where several brand names, make or manufacturer are listed as acceptable, the <br /> acceptance shall be based on the design selection. Where a manufacturer's model number is listed, <br /> this model shall set the standard of quality and performance required. Where no brand name is <br /> specified, the source and quality shall be subject to the Engineer's review and acceptance. Where three <br /> manufacturers are listed, one of the listed manufacturers shall be submitted for acceptance. No <br /> substitutions are allowed unless the substitution process is accepted by the Engineer <br /> B. Certification: When a product is specified to be in accordance with a trade association or government <br /> standard requested by the Engineer, the Contractor shall provide a certificate that the product complies <br /> with the referenced standard. Upon request of the Engineer, the Contractor shall submit supporting test <br /> data to substantiate compliance. <br /> C. Basis of Bid: Each bidder represents that his bid is based upon the manufacturer's materials, and <br /> equipment described in the Contract Documents. <br /> D. Space Requirements: Substituted equipment or optional equipment where permitted and accepted, <br /> must conform to established space requirements within the project. Accepted substituted equipment <br /> which does not meet space requirements, shall be replaced at no additional expense to the Contract. <br /> All modifications of related systems as a result of substitutions shall be made at no additional expense <br /> to the Contract. Submit all modifications to the Engineer for acceptance. <br /> E. Samples: Samples shall be submitted for all electrical components, light fixtures, wiring devices, and <br /> other items deemed necessary by the Engineer to determine that the item meets all specifications and <br /> requirements before acceptance is allowed. Samples shall be submitted within 30 days after the award <br /> of the contract. <br /> 2.2 SHOP DRAWINGS <br /> A. General: Shop drawings shall be submitted for every item of equipment and material provided under <br /> this Division unless noted herein.
