i <br /> DONNELLY ENGINEERING ELECTRICAL <br /> SECTION 16020 <br /> TESTS AND PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. General: Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 1 Specification sections, apply to work specified in this section. <br /> 1.2 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. General: Provide all tests complete as required by codes, manufacturer's instructions, contract documents, <br /> inspection authorities and installation procedures. <br /> B. Submission: Submit completed testing results of all systems, cable, equipment, devices, etc., for <br /> acceptance prior to being energized or utilized. <br /> C. Verification: Perform verification work as required to show that the System is operating correctly in <br /> accordance with contract documents and manufacturers literature. All verification shall be done after 3-day <br /> full operational period. <br /> 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Compliance: Testing shall comply to the following standards; <br /> 1. NEMA <br /> 2. ASTM <br /> 3. NETA <br /> 4. ANSI C2 <br /> 5. ICEA <br /> 6. NFPA <br /> 1.4 QUALIFICATIONS OF TESTING FIRM <br /> A. Qualification: The testing firm shall be an independent testing organization which can function as an <br /> unbiased testing authority, professionally independent of the manufacturers, supplier, and installers of <br /> equipment or systems evaluated by the testing firm. <br /> B. Experience: The testing firm shall be regularly engaged in the testing of electrical equipment devices, <br /> installations, and systems. <br /> C. Accreditation: The testing firm shall meet OSHA criteria for accreditation of testing laboratories, Title 29, <br /> Part 1907, or be a Full Member company of the International Electrical Testing Association. <br /> D. Certification: The lead, on-site, technical person shall be currently certified by the International Electrical <br /> Testing Association (NETA) or National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)i in <br /> electrical power distribution system testing. <br /> E. Personnel: The testing firm shall utilize engineers and technicians who are regularly employed by the firm <br /> for testing services. <br /> F.
