DONNELLY ENGINEERING ELECTRICAL <br /> Load Hours <br /> half 1 <br /> three quarter 1 <br /> full 4 <br /> 3. At the end of two hours at full load,the engine-generator shall be block loaded from no load <br /> to full load for a total of two times, and the voltage dip shall be recorded by a strip chart <br /> recorder. <br /> 4. Record current, voltage, frequency, water temperature, lube oil pressure, and lube oil <br /> temperature every 5 minutes. <br /> 5. Perform factory testing in the presence of the Owner's Representative. The Contractor <br /> shall pay all costs for the Owner's representative to witness the factory tests. Cost shall <br /> include the representative's hourly rate, lodging if necessary, meals and all forms of travel. <br /> Submit request for representative's attendance and completed test verification to the <br /> Engineer. <br /> 3.6 REQUIRED FIELD TESTING: NFPA 110 testing for each generator will require the following; <br /> 1 Provide testing per section NFPA 110 paragraph 7.13 <br /> 2 Provide advanced notification to Donnelly Engineering so that we may witness or have the <br /> owner's rep witness the test. Obtain confirmation that a representative of Donnelly <br /> Engineering will be present. <br /> 3 On-site test as follows; <br /> (1) From a cold start, initiate a power failure by opening the main normal device <br /> (2) All required loads shall be on the generator <br /> (3) Record time delay to start <br /> (4) Record cranking time <br /> (5) Record time to reach operating speed <br /> (6) Record voltage and frequency overshoot <br /> (7) Record transfer time <br /> (8) Record Voltage, Frequency and amperage <br /> (9) Record oil pressure and water temperature <br /> (10) Record battery rate at 5 minute intervals for first 15 minutes and at 15 minutes for the <br /> duration of the test <br /> (11) Record exhaust temperature and pressure <br /> (12) Continue test for 2 hours and record all load and frequency changes <br /> (13)After two hours close the main power switch to normal power and record the time to <br /> retransfer to normal with a minimum time of 5 minutes <br /> (14) Record time delay for cool down and shutdown <br /> 4 Allow the generator to cool for 5 minutes after shutdown. Start the generator and provide a full <br /> load test using a load bank for the 100% of the rated load of the generator in one step at unity <br /> power factor. Record information as listed above in 3 (4) through (10) <br /> 5 Provide a crank cycle test(override starting) <br /> • 6 Test all safeties <br /> 7 Provide formal test results <br /> 8 Provide a letter of compliance per 110 5.6.10.5 <br /> 9 Provide a certified analysis per 110 5.6.10.2 <br /> 10 Provide evidence of the complete test as outlined in 100 5.6.10.2 for level 1 systems <br /> 3.7 FUEL <br /> A. General: Provide 1/2 filled tank prior to final testing.
