At the end of two hours at full load,the engine-generator shall be block loaded from no load to full load for a total of two times, and the voltage dip shall be recorded by a strip chart recorder. 4. Record current, voltage, frequency, water temperature, lube oil pressure, and lube oil temperature every 5 minutes. 5. Perform factory testing in the presence of the Owner's Representative. The Contractor shall pay all costs for the Owner's representative to witness the factory tests. Cost shall include the representative's hourly rate, lodging if necessary, meals and all forms of travel. Submit request for representative's attendance and completed test verification to the Engineer. 3.6 REQUIRED FIELD TESTING: NFPA 110 testing for each generator will require the following; 1 Provide testing per section NFPA 110 paragraph 7.13 2 Provide advanced notification to Donnelly Engineering so that we may witness or have the owner's rep witness the test. Obtain confirmation that a representative of Donnelly Engineering will be present. 3 On-site test as follows; (1) From a cold start, initiate a power failure by opening the main normal device (2) All required loads shall be on the generator (3) Record time delay to start (4) Record cranking time (5) Record time to reach operating speed (6) Record voltage and frequency overshoot (7) Record transfer time (8) Record Voltage, Frequency and amperage (9) Record oil pressure and water temperature (10) Record battery rate at 5 minute intervals for first 15 minutes and at 15 minutes for the duration of the test (11) Record exhaust temperature and pressure (12) Continue test for 2 hours and record all load and frequency changes (13)After two hours close the main power switch to normal power and record the time to retransfer to normal with a minimum time of 5 minutes (14) Record time delay for cool down and shutdown 4 Allow the generator to cool for 5 minutes after shutdown. Start the generator and provide a full load test using a load bank for the 100% of the rated load of the generator in one step at unity power factor. Record information as listed above in 3 (4) through (10) 5 Provide a crank cycle test(override starting) • 6 Test all safeties 7 Provide formal test results 8 Provide a letter of compliance per 110 5.6.10.5 9 Provide a certified analysis per 110 5.6.10.2 10 Provide evidence of the complete test as outlined in 100 5.6.10.2 for level 1 systems 3.7 FUEL A. General: Provide 1/2 filled tank prior to final testing. The contractor shall fill the tank 100% #2 Diesel fuel after field testing is complete, refill the tank.
