POUR PROPERLY MIXED MMA PRIMER, SUCH AS <br />CRYL-A-PRIME P-10 OR EQUAL, INTO CRACK AND KEEP APPLYING UNTIL <br />CRACK IS TOTALLY FILLED. THIS MAY REQUIRE 2 OR 3 APPLICATIONS. <br />3.2.6.2 CRACKS GREATER THAN 1/16 INCH ARE TO BE ROUTED OUT <br />TO A WIDTH OF 1/4 INCH USING A PROPER CRACK CHASING TOOL AND <br />VACUUM TO REMOVE ALL DUST. <br />PRIME THE CRACK WITH MMA PRIMER. THE CRACK IS TO BE FILLED WITH A <br />100% REACTIVE MMA-BASED, TWO -COMPONENT RESIN MIXED WITH <br />APPROVED CLEAN, DRY AGGREGATE BLEND CAPABLE OF A FULL CURE IN <br />LESS THAN ONE HOUR AT 68' F AND EQUAL TO DUR-A-FLEX, INC. <br />CRYL-A-GLAZE G-202 <br />AND SL FILLER BLEND. <br />3.2.7 THERE SHALL BE NO VISIBLE MOISTURE PRESENT ON THE SURFACE <br />AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION OF THE SYSTEM. COMPRESSED, OIL -FREE AIR <br />AND/OR A LIGHT PASSING OF A PROPANE TORCH MAY BE USED TO DRY <br />THE SUBSTRATE. <br />3.2.8 WHEN THE PERIMETER OF THE SUBSTRATE TO BE COATED IS NOT <br />ADJACENT TO A WALL OR CURB, A MINIMUM 1/4 INCH KEY CUT SHALL BE <br />MADE TO PROPERLY AT THE SYSTEM, PROVIDING A SMOOTH TRANSITION <br />BETWEEN AREAS. THIS DETAIL CUT SHALL ALSO APPLY TO DRAIN PERIMETERS <br />AND EXPANSION JOINT EDGES. <br />3.2.9 CONCRETE SURFACES ON GRADE SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH A <br />VAPOR BARRIER TO PROTECT AGAINST THE EFFECTS OF VAPOR TRANSMISSION <br />AND POSSIBLE DELAMINATION OF THE SYSTEM. <br />3.3. MECHANICAL SURFACE PREPARATION: <br />3.3.1 SHOT BLAST ALL SURFACES TO RECEIVE A FLOORING SYSTEM WITH A <br />MOBILE STEELSHOT, DUST RECYCLING MACHINE (BLASTRAC OR EQUAL). <br />3.3.2 SURFACES INACCESSIBLE TO THE MOBILE SHOT BLAST MACHINES SHALL <br />BE MECHANICALLY ABRADED TO THE SAME DEGREE OF CLEANLINESS, <br />SOUNDNESS AND PROFILE USING DIAMOND GRINDERS, NEEDLE GUNS, BUSH <br />HAMMERS OR OTHER SUITABLE EQUIPMENT. <br />3.3.3 ALL SURFACE AND EMBEDDED ACCUMULATIONS OF PAINT, TOPPINGS, <br />HARDENED CONCRETE LAYERS, LAITANCE, POWER TROWEL FINISHES, AND OTHER <br />SIMILAR SURFACE CHARACTERISTICS SHALL BE COMPLETELY REMOVED LEAVING <br />A BARE CONCRETE SURFACE HAVING A PROFILE SIMILAR TO 40 GRIT <br />SANDPAPER AND EXPOSING THE UPPER FASCIA OF CONCRETE AGGREGATE. <br />3.3.4 RANDOM TESTS FOR ADEQUATE BOND STRENGTH SHALL BE CONDUCTED <br />ON THE SUBSTRATE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S <br />RECOMMENDATIONS, AT A MINIMUM FREQUENCY OF THREE TESTS PER 10,000 <br />FT2. SMALLER AREAS SHALL RECEIVE A MINIMUM OF THREE TESTS. <br />3.3.5 BASED ON THE TEST RESULTS, ADDITIONAL SUBSTRATE PREPARATION <br />MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE <br />SYSTEM. <br />3.4.
