THE DEMOLITION PLAN IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE THE CONTRACTOR WITH A <br />GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE EXISTING CONDITIONS WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA, <br />EXISTING EQUIPMENT, STRUCTURE, DUCTWORK, ETC... LOCATED ON DRAWING WERE <br />DERIVED FROM EXISTING DRAWINGS AND LIMITED FIELD OBSERVATIONS. THIS <br />DRAWING MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE OF SERVICES THAT EXIST IN THE PROJECT <br />AREA. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY SERVICES AND LOCATIONS PRIOR TO ANY <br />DEMOLITION WORK ANY DEVIATIONS IMPACTING WORK SHOWN ON THESE <br />DOCUMENTS SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER PRIOR TO <br />BEGINNING DEMOLITION. BEGINNING OF DEMOLITION SHALL SIGNIFY CONTRACTOR'S <br />ACCEPTANCE OF EXISTING CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR <br />ALL REQUIRED DEMOLITION WHETHER SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR NOT. <br />2. CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM A PRE -BID SURVEY TO FIELD -VERIFY AND <br />COORDINATE ALL DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO PROCUREMENT OR FABRICATION. FIELD <br />CONDITIONS SHALL GOVERN. COORDINATE THE WORK WITH OTHER TRADES <br />INVOLVED. COORDINATE NEW WORK WITH EXISTING ELEMENTS SUCH AS THE <br />BUILDING STRUCTURE AND ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES. SPRINKLER PIPING, LIGHTS. <br />PLUMBING. AND ELECTRICAL CONDUIT. COST OF REROUTING DUCTWORK OR PIPING <br />DUE TO CONFLICTS WITH EXISTING CONDITIONS SHALL BE PAID BY CONTRACTOR. <br />3. ALL MECHANICAL SYSTEMS SERVING OTHER SPACES OR FLOORS THAT RUN <br />THROUGH THE PROJECT AREA SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE DURING CONSTRUCTION SO AS <br />NOT TO CAUSE ANY DISRUPTION TO THESE OTHER SPACES DURING THE DEMOLITION <br />OF THE EXISTING DUCTWORK. <br />4. TEMPORARY MECHANICAL SERVICES SHALL BE PROVIDED WHEN NEW WORK <br />AFFECTS SERVICES NEEDING TO REMAIN ACTIVE. COORDINATE SERVICE <br />INTERRUPTIONS WITH OWNER AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE, <br />5. ALL EQUIPMENT REMOVED UNDER THIS PROJECT SHALL BE DOUBLE -BAGGED AND <br />DISPOSED OF UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, <br />6. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE OR RELOCATE EXISTING CONTROLS WHERE <br />NECESSARY. REMOVED CONTROLS SHALL BE RETURNED TO OWNER. <br />7. PROPERLY REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING TO -BE -REMOVED HVAC <br />DUCTWORK, PIPING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION DEVICES. CONSULT WITH OWNER AND <br />OBTAIN OWNER'S APPROVAL PRIOR TO DISPOSAL OF REMOVED MATERIAL. <br />8. PATCH HOLES LEFT IN WALLS AND FLOOR AFTER REMOVAL OF EXISTING DUCTWORK. <br />CONDUIT, ETC., TO MATCH NEW EXISTING CONSTRUCTION AND FIRE RATING, THIS <br />INCLUDES ANY EXISTING OPENINGS IN RATED WALLS OR FLOORS. <br />9. PROVIDE PRE -CONSTRUCTION TEST & BALANCE FOR SUPPLY, RETURN AND EXHAUST <br />OF EXISTING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SERVING PROJECT AREA. INCLUDE FLOW AND <br />STATIC PRESSURE IN MAIN DUCTS, FAN STATIC PRESSURE, MOTOR HP AND FLA. <br />PRESSURE DROP ACROSS COILS AND FILTERS. AND CHILLED WATER FLOW. <br />10. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING THE AIR HANDLER AND <br />DUCTWORK SERVING THE AREA PRIOR TO FINAL TEST AND BALANCE. CLEANING OF <br />THE AIR HANDLER AND DUCTWORK SHALL CONSIST OF REPLACING THE FILTERS. <br />11 ALL EXISTING AIR DISTRIBUTION DEVICES LOCATED WITHIN PROJECT AREA SHALL <br />BE FITTED WITH TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FILTERS THROUGHOUT PROJECT <br />DURATION TO HELP PREVENT ACCUMULATION OF DUST IN DEVICES AND DUCTWORK. <br />12. CAP ALL DEMOLISHED BRANCH DUCT AT DUCT MAIN. CAP AND SEAL OPENINGS <br />DURING ENTIRE RENOVATION OF THE HVAC DUCTWORK. <br />13. ALL EXISTING AND/OR NEW WALL, CEILING AND FLOOR PENETRATIONS TO THE <br />SPACE SHALL BE CAULKED AND SEALED AIR TIGHT AND VAPOR TIGHT AFTER <br />DEMOLITION AND PRIOR TO NEW CONSTRUCTION BY AN APPROVED CONTRACTOR. <br />14. ALL NEW AND EXISTING HEATING HOT WATER PIPING TO THE SPACE SHALL BE <br />INSULATED WITH NEW APPROVED INSULATION, MINIMUM 1" THICK. <br />15. MINIMUM DUCT SIZE IS 10" X 6" EXCEPT WHERE SPECIFICALLY INDICATED <br />OTHERWISE. <br />T <br />O DEMO HVAC KEY NOTES: <br />0 PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HEPA FILTERED NEGATIVE AIR FAN FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION AREA. MAINTAIN A MINIMUM 0.03" NEGATIVE PRESSURE <br />IN THIS AREA RELATIVE TO THE ADJACENT SPACES, PROVIDE VISUAL <br />DISPLAY OF AIRFLOW DIRECTION. PROVIDE ADDITIONAL NEGATIVE AIR <br />MACHINES AS REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE MINIMUM NEGATIVE PRESSURE. <br />PROVIDE TEMPORARY DUST BARRIER PARTITIONS. ALL EXISTING <br />RETURN REGISTERS AND OPENINGS LOCATED WITHIN THE RENOVATION <br />AREA SHALL BE SHUT AND TAPED CLOSED ISOLATING THE RENOVATION <br />AREA FROM THE AIR HANDLER SYSTEM. ALL EXISTING EXHAUST <br />REGISTERS LOCATED WITHIN THE RENOVATION AREA SHALL BE <br />PROVIDED WITH TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FILTERS, ROUTE <br />TEMPORARY 120 FLEXIBLE DUCT FROM DISCHARGE OF HEPA UNIT TO <br />OUTSIDE OF DEMOLITION BOUNDARY. PROVIDE 2 SETS OF HEPA <br />FILTERS - ONE HEPA FILTER AT NEGATIVE AIR FAN, AND ONE HEPA <br />FILTER AT DISCHARGE INTO CLEAN CORRIDOR. <br />O PROVIDE AN INCLINED MANOMETER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE TYPE. <br />WITH WHITE FACE GAUGE AND BLACK LETTERS WITH MAXIMUM <br />PRESSURE RANGE OF 0.1" W G.
