Note: as the sealer allows for even stain application, it also <br />re uces grain contrast and the depth of stain penetration. If grain contrast is <br />d ired a pre-stain sealer or wood conditioner should not be used. As with <br />all finishes, test prior to application. Talk with a paint professional regarding <br />thO application. <br /> <br /> <br />A STAIN AND-CLEAR FINISHING <br /> <br />1. S in the door using a quality oil or alkyd-resin-based stain. <br />2. Fi ish the door with a quality exterior solvent-borne or waterborne <br />p Iyurethane. Most quality exterior finishes require a minimum of two coats. <br />R fer to finish manufacturer instructions.
